1. Placing an online order request
Online orders are placed through our shopping cart feature. When you find an item you wish to order and want to add it to the shopping cart, click on either the "ORDER" button underneath the price of the item or the "ORDER THIS ITEM" button at the bottom of the item listing. The website will then redirect you to the shopping cart section, where the item you ordered will be listed in your personalised shopping cart. You can then continue shopping on the website for other items to order, or finalise your order (see below). HINT: You can view your list of items in the shopping cart anytime by clicking on the "Shopping cart" link, found in the "INFO" section on the left hand side of the screen.

NOTE: We don't usually have multiple copies of our items but on rare occasions we do, so if you would like to order more than one of the same item, simply re-click the "ORDER" or "ORDER THIS ITEM" button of the item you want multiple copies of and the shopping cart will list the item multiple times according to the amount of copies you want.

Once you have finished shopping, head to the "Shopping cart" section, confirm your order is correct by checking the list of items shown, then fill in the form and click on the "send your order" button. A pop-up message will appear, confirming you understand the conditions of placing your order; click either "OK" if you are happy with your order, or "Cancel" if you wish to amend your order in any way. Upon hitting "OK" in the pop-up message box, your order request will be emailed to us.

2. Order confirmation
Your order request is sent to us via email. We will usually respond to you via email within 24 hours from the time you send us your order, to confirm availability of your requested items and provide a total purchase amount for your order including postage and any additional fees. If you wish to get a rough idea of what the postage costs for your order will be, see below.

NOTE:
We personally reply to all orders, and do get busy sometimes, so please be patient if we do take a little longer than 24 hours.

3. Making payment
We have a range of payment options available (see below for details). We appreciate payment as soon as possible to ensure your delivery arrives quickly, as we only send orders once payment has been made. You have a maximum of seven days to pay for order, otherwise your order will be cancelled and the item(s) placed back into stock.

NOTE: if you are sending your order by post, please make sure you print out the order form (which we email to you as part of our order confirmation reply) which has the details of the item(s) you are sending payment as well as your name and mailing address. If you do not have access to a printer, please print clearly on a piece of paper (not on the back of the envelope) what you have ordered and your mailing address. We can not take responsibilty for scribbled or illegible addresses.

4. Processing your order and sending off your item(s)
Once we have recieved payment, your order will be processed and your item(s) packaged and sent. Depending on where you are most parcels will take 2-5 days within Australia to recieve in the mail, and between 5-14 days if you are overseas. NOTE: We take no responsibility on uninsured items overseas and non-registered items in Australia.
 

OTHER STUFF YOU SHOULD KNOW

  • IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE: If you place an order with us, make payment and then cancel the order, you will forfeit all postage costs, as well as incur an administration costs fee. The fee is AUD$5 for orders up to AUD$100, and AUD$15 for all orders above AUD$100. So be sure you're happy with your order before you make payment!
     
  • We also have a shop front, located in St. Kilda, Australia (see front of our website for address details if you wish to come visit us). Because of this, our stock is constantly changing and therefore we cannot guarantee your item(s) will be in stock at the time you place your order (this is why we call it an order request). Once you place your order we will check our stock, put aside all available items that you have ordered, and advise you via your confirmation email of item availability.
     
  • If you don't find exactly what you are looking for, feel free to send us any wants lists you might have and we will do our best to track the items down for you.
     

POSTAGE COSTS
Postage costs vary depending on where you are, what items you order, whether they can be packed together etc. If you prefer, we can quote the postage costs for you before you place an order with us. Feel free to send us an email us at enquiries@rarerecords.com.au with the complete list of items you are considering purchasing, along with your postal address, and we will provide you with a quote.

NOTE: We are currently in the process of putting together a table for this page with both Australian and international postage prices (as a guide only; accurate postage costs are given once you place us of your order or request a personal quote). Check back soon.

These are our preferred methods of payment, but if these don't suit you then send us an email and we can try and work something else out.

Within Australia:

  • Cash (please conceal cash well and send by registered mail)
  • Credit card (Visa and Mastercard only - you will need to provide credit card details over the phone, see front of our website for phone number)

Outside Australia:

  • Cash** (please conceal cash well and send by registered mail)

* There is a USD$6 fee for cashing international cheques or money orders at our banks here in Australia, so this fee will have to be added to the total of your order.

** We accept U.S. U.K. or Euro cash.
